Phone (電話?, Denwa) is the 2nd Rhythm Toy in Rhythm Heaven. It is unlocked with 4 Medals.
Gameplay
The toy is a telephone which plays touch-tone sounds with rising pitch when numbers on the number pad are pressed, with 1 having the lowest pitch and 9 having the highest, except 5, which make a low-pitched beep when pressed. The number pad is inactive at first, requiring the player to touch the green phone button to pick up the receiver. The player can then call a number, and then touch the red receiver button to end the call.
Throughout the game, the player may come across various phone numbers. The main purpose of this Rhythm Toy is to call these numbers for easter eggs. In the below list, first the location of the number is specified, then the number itself (First the one found in the English versions of the game, followed by the equivalent from Rhythm Tengoku Gold, where the 5 key is replaced with a ♪ symbol) and finally what is heard when the number is called, many of which are references to Rhythm Tengoku.
555-SAMURAI (246936♪1?) or (555-7268724) is found in Samurai Slice, where the moon in the background occasionally displays the number. Calling this number plays sound effects from Iai Giri from Rhythm Tengoku. This involves The Wandering Samurai attacking Yokai, until he takes damage from one, which prompts the jingle from the end of the Rhythm Game to play, and the call ends.
(555) PECK-YES (2♪21♪98?) or (555-7325-937) is found in Tunnel, where one of the backgrounds is a flower field with a billboard showing the number. Calling this number plays sound effects from Blue Birds alongside a snare drum.
(555) EAT-BEET (831♪831♪831♪?) or (555-328-2338) is found in Business Card, where the card itself shows the phone number is for the Stomp and Chomp Agriculture Co. Calling this number results in the Stomp Farmer from Crop Stomp picking up the line, simply repeating the voice clip he makes as he walks through the field.
555-ROCK-OUT (44♪82831♪?) or (555-7625-688) is found on the poster for the Battle of the Bands as the contact number. Calling this number plays music from Rap Men from Rhythm Tengoku, with the RAPMEN themselves making various voice clips at random.
