Lord
The Lord (トノ?, Tono) is a character in Ninja Bodyguard in Rhythm Tengoku and Rhythm Heaven Megamix. The Ninja protects him from the enemy's arrows. He is Kanojo's great great great great grandfather.
Story
The black ninja is devoted to protecting his lord at all costs, even if the lord goes out of his way to walk outside, putting himself in danger. The lord appears to walk around because he is in love and can't sleep at night. The ninjas view him as nothing but trouble because of this but agree there's nothing they can do about it[1]. The lord also carries a scroll that some belive made him the wealthy and powerful man he is, while the ninja believes it might just be a love letter[2]. The lord is said to be Kanojo's great great great great grandfather. The night after protecting his lord from the enemy ninjas, the black ninja has a premonition of the woman being protected by Tanaka in the same way. The black ninja uses ninjutsu to ensure Tanaka finds a scroll, urging him to continue protecting her. The lord's final appearence is as a ghost, berating Tanaka if he fails.

Trivia
- The information given in the Rhythm Items is generally consistent across languages, but some alter certain details. For example, in the French version, the Ninja speculates the Scroll carried by the Lord may actually be a shopping list rather than a love letter[3].
