Gates are locations introduced in Rhythm Heaven Megamix. After 2-3 lands are completed, the Gatekeeper Trio block the players path until they can complete a game. The player can choose between easy, medium, or hard difficulties (with the cost decreasing as the difficulty increases). These games are actually condensed Endless Games that actually end after a certain goal is reached. If the played completes all three difficulties, the endless versions of the games are unlocked in the museum.
