The Gatekeeper Trio is a group of men that Tibby and the player encounter in Rhythm Heaven Megamix. They consist of Saffron (right), Saltwater (center), and Paprika (left). They each wield a fire lit staff and are all dressed in colored cloaks and wear color matching aviation caps and goggles. Nothing is known about their pasts.

Paprika

File:Redron.png Paprika (レドロン?, Redoron) is a man in a red suit that Tibby encounters him in Rhythm Heaven Megamix. Paprika runs Challenge Land, where you attempt to clear challenges on the Challenge Train, as well as allowing you to attempt the perfect campaign. He is the namesake of the most difficult world in Challenge Land, Paprika World.

Saltwater

File:Bluke.png Saltwater (ブルック?, Burukku) is a blue-suited man that Tibby encounters him in Rhythm Heaven Megamix. Saltwater runs the museum at the cafe. He allows you to look at badges, mascots, and the credit cutscenes. He is quite obviously the namesake of the second set of challenges in Challenge Land, Saltwater World.

Saffron

Saffron is a small man in a yellow suit who Tibby encounters in Rhythm Heaven Megamix. Saffron runs a shop in the cafe. He is the namesake of the first world in Challenge Land, Saffron World.
