Boondog (ブンブン?, Bunbun) is a character who is in charge of Honeybee Land and Honeybee Tower in Rhythm Heaven Megamix.

Appearance

Boondog has a round body and two long white arms. He wears brown boots and has a brown stinger. Boondog has two orange stripes and a pair of light blue wings. as well as red cheeks and two antennae.

Personality

Boondog has a tendency to add three z's to any words he says that start with the letter b. (e.g bzzzother instead of bother and bzzzit instead of bit.)

Upon first meeting him, Boondog is in the midst of an identity crisis.

Role

As a result of his identity crisis, Boondog feels as if he's lost all of his flow and groove. He introduces the concept of having to clear four rhythm games to advance to the next area and asks Tibby and the player to do so for him. After clearing the first game, Karate Man, Boondog tells the player about coins, and to save them like pollen. After getting all games clear, Boondog tells the player how to advance to the next area.

He later appears again, where he is revealed to be guardian of Honeybee Tower as part of a tribe. After beating the rhythm games and the Remix, "Flow" is restored to the tower and he is able to return the tower's energy to the Power of Rainbow.

Trivia

  • One of Ashley's badges in the Nintendo Badge Arcade include a bee costume which has a striking resemblance to Boondog. Judging by how both Wario Ware and Rhythm Heaven were made by the same company, this is likely not a coincidence.
  • In the dialogue at the Cafe, Boondog says that he a big fan of videogames.
