Pitcher (ピッチャー?, Pitchā) and Slugger (バッター?, Batter) are characters who appear with Monkey Umpire in Exhibition Match in Rhythm Heaven Fever and Rhythm Heaven Megamix.

    • Story

    Pitcher and Slugger participate in a friendly Exhibition Match, in which Pitcher would throw a baseball behind a curtain, which Slugger would have to hit as it passes over, all to impress the audience. After several pitches, it is revealed that a Monkey Umpire was catching the baseballs behind the curtain and tossing them over. Only the best batters get to appear in these matches, but Slugger got there by being a "big, scary guy" that no one wanted to refuse[1]. Many players only want to participate so they can meet Pitcher[2].

    Pitcher and Slugger reappear in the prehistoric-themed Remix 5, in which they are dressed in time-appropriate clothing, playing for an audience of Huebirds. Pitcher also appears in Rhythm Tengoku The Best Plus Comic in 01同窓会 (Reunion), where she joins the reunion at the Café.
