The Wandering Samurai (Samurai Steve in PAL regions) is a recurring character in the franchise, and appears in all four games in the series, much like Karate Joe and Widget.

Rhythm Tengoku

The Wandering Samurai first appeared in Rhythm Tengoku in the eighth rhythm game and second rhythm game in Set 2, Samurai Slice. He very soon later appears in the second remix alongside the four other games in Set 2. Much later, he reappears along with every other game in Remix 6. He then made appearances in the last two remixes, Remix 7 and Remix 8.

Rhythm Heaven

In Rhythm Heaven, our slicing samurai returned, but he didn't get his own rhythm game in any sets of games. Instead, he only appeared in an endless game Samurai Slice. In this one, you must slice the watermelon, fish and demons and give them to small children.

Rhythm Heaven Fever

In Rhythm Heaven Fever, the wandering samurai appears in many different games as cameo, however they are usually Easter-eggs. He first appears in Samurai Slice, the game right before the fourth remix, him appearing again. He gets a sequel minigame Samurai Slice 2, then appears in Remix 8, and in the final remix.

Rhythm Heaven Megamix

In Rhythm Heaven Megamix, The Wandering Samurai appears in the game Super Samurai Slice, which has retro style graphics. He later appears in the sequel Super Samurai Slice 2, in Right-Hand Remix, and Final Remix in a part based on Super Samurai Slice 2. He also appears in the returning Wii version of Samurai Slice, which is an unlockable game you can buy in Saffron's shop.
