Introduction/Development
An unused test-like game can be accessed through Sequence Test in Rhythm Tengoku, known as Metronome. Here, the player must press  as the needle passes over the bird on the top, playing basically the same as the first test in Rhythm-kan Check. It displays the following text:
Ura Otoko uses the same graphics as Metronome, a scrapped Rhythm Game, and as such contains all of its unused sprites. They are still considered separate games, regardless.

During the measuring process, a counter appears on the top right, with "HI SCORE" written beneath it, having been repurposed later for Ura Otoko. Once it reaches 0, it gives the results, using the same screen as Rhythm-kan Check.

Metronome has its own unused sprites as well. The first appears to be a scale, with the left side saying おそ and the right saying 速. This was likely meant for an accuracy meter, with each bar lighting up to measure how on-beat the player's rhythm was. This concept is similar to the "Early"/"Late" measurement in the Rhythm Test in Rhythm Heaven Fever.

The other two are pictures of a person's face, with text written beside him (reading 速い and おそい, respectively). Strangely, there also exists copies of the face, but flipped horizontally.
