(after looking into it, i'm unconvinced by the evidence. there's them being called lifting man in japanese, but "マン" can mean a lot of things, not just referring to gender. then there's them being called "knee-ball guy" but i'm unconvinced by that too since guy was and is gender neutral, even in 2008) |
