The player controls Slugger, the batter in yellow on the right side of the screen. On the other side is Pitcher, a young girl wearing pink. She throws a baseball behind a curtain, and it flies out after four beats. The player needs to swing on the fifth beat to hit the ball.

The player controls Slugger, the batter in yellow on the left side of a baseball field. On the other side of the field is the Pitcher, a young girl wearing pink. She will throw a baseball at the batter. The baseball will be thrown behind a curtain and will fly out after four beats. The player needs to swing on the fifth beat to hit the ball.
The entire game revolves around trying to mislead the player. Although they only need to swing on the fifth beat, the game zooms in or out and cuts off the music, and at one point zooming all the way out.

The entire game revolves around trying to mislead the player. Although you only need to swing on the fifth beat, the game will try to use visuals and sound to confuse the player. This includes making the screen visibly beat in an unhelpful pattern, zooming in, cutting off music, and at one point zooming all the way out of the park.

In the end, its revealed that the curtain in the middle was hiding a monkey. It turns out that it was catching the ball from the pitcher and throwing them at the batter after five beats, causing the delay.

In the end, the curtain goes up to reveal a Monkey, who is the one catching the ball and throwing it with a delay.

*Perfect!/Ace!: The batter will successfully hit the ball at the screen (literally breaking it at one point) as the crowd cheers. The more hits the player make as the game goes on, the more the batter will show off, doing things like waving his bat. The pitcher will also get more upset and nervous as more hits are made, and will even throw her hat on the ground if the first five throws are hit. Before the last throw, she will sweat when the monkey is shown.

Trivia
Trivia
*The game's theme is reminiscent of the Rhythm Tengoku game Spaceball.
*The team logo on the ground reads "Batting Show" in Minna no Rhythm Tengoku and was left unchanged in Beat the Beat: Rhythm Paradise. In Rhythm Heaven Fever and Rhythm Heaven Megamix, it says "Batting Exhibition" instead.
*This game and Spaceball both show up in Rhythm Heaven Megamix, meaning the game has two separate Baseball games.
*The VS screen featuring Pitcher and Slugger was redrawn completely for Rhythm Heaven Megamix
*When the pitcher walks back, one can see her walking through the hat she threw on the ground. This error was fixed in Megamix.
*The VS screen featuring Pitcher and Slugger in Megamix was redrawn. A comparison can be seen below.

* In the Japanese and PAL version, the logo at the bottom says “Batting Show”, while in the American version, it says “Batting Exhibition” instead.
*When Pitcher throws her hat on the ground, it is layered behind her in Rhythm Heaven Fever, causing her to seemingly walk through it. In Rhythm Heaven Megamix, it is layered in front of her instead.
* The game has many similarities to Big Rock Finish from the previous game.
*When the screen zooms out completely, a city can be seen in the background. This city is a stock photo of New York City from before September 2001, edited to be black and white. In Rhythm Heaven Megamix, the city is edited further.
** Both have the same crowd cheer sound effect at the beginning.
** Both are on Set 5 of their games.
** Both involve performing the action after waiting until the end of a measure.

* While it zooms out, The background is actually from New York City Pre-September 2001, Just in black and white.
