[[File:Samurai_Slice_M_gameplay.png|thumb|200px]]In this game, the player must slice a horde of demons, or evil spirits, as they appear, in order to protect the peaceful village. Evil spirits will appear and the player must slice them with their sword at the correct time to vanquish them, by pressing the A button. Occasionally, a vortex of demons will swarm at once and the player has to perform a whirlwind slice, which will make the samurai thrash his sword rapidly.

You use the normal slice for the red demons, but the green ones come out faster, so you have to use the whirlwind slice. The Red demons can also vary in size, but this is just a distraction. There is also a story, which covers the screen mid-game to obstruct the game's visuals.
