The Air Batter is a youth devoted to baseball and rhythm.<ref name="chara" /> During [[Spaceball]], he brought a [[Rhythm Item#Rice Ballrice ball|Rice Ball]] for lunch, but lost it at some point.<ref>"なくなったと思ってたら、ボールの中に、まぎれていたのネ。" ("I thought [the rice ball] was gone, but it was hidden with the baseballs.") ~ Rhythm Item description for "[[Spaceball]]", ''Rhythm Tengoku: The Best Plus''</ref> It appeared mixed in with the balls, and he hit it without a second thought, sending into the void of space. He regretted this while complaining about being hungry. In the [[Superb]] epilogues of [[Spaceball]] and [[Air Batter 2]], he receives a trophy for winning first "space". In the other epilogues, he's shown to be very polite, offering an alien his rice ball in exchange for a ball which hit the alien's UFO, and he is seen pulling a tire to train himself. During an [[Rhythm Shiryo Shitsu#エアーバッター速報 (Air Batter Report)|interview]], he talks fondly of rice balls, and mentions his girlfriend (who incidentally is good at cooking rice balls). When asked why he wears masks during the game, he dodges the question and leaves the interview. The Air Batter hits balls into space in a basic rhythm. The player must quickly decipher whether a ball launched at him is a high ball or normal ball.
