Their main role is to greet the player at the beginning of the game and explain the rules.

Marshal, Miss Ribbon, and [[Cam]] appear when starting a new game or entering the [[Rhythm Test]]. Marshal and Miss Ribbon will also explain some information about the game such as the controls and the player's rhythm test results. They also appear in [[Night Walk (Wii)|Night Walk]], in which the player controls Marshal while Miss Ribbon and Cam follow him.

* According to a Japanese database, the source of Marshal's name is that he looks like a marshmallow.

* Marshal slightly resembles a slightly more-animated [[The Chorus Kids|Chorus Kid]]. The only differences are that Marshal has blush and doesn't wear a bowtie.

*Cam's name in the Japanese version of the game is actually a pun on the word "kamoku" (寡黙) meaning someone who is reserved or silent.

* The only noise Cam ever makes is a glad "Hmm!" when you press A + B in the [[Rhythm Test]].

*Oddly enough, Cam never speaks with a speech bubble, most likely because he was supposed to be a silent character.
