Shoot-'em-up 2 (かえってきた シューティング Kaettekita shutingu "Return of shooting") is the 44th minigame and is a sequel of Shoot-'em-up in Rhythm Heaven Megamix. It's identical to Shoot-'Em-Up from Rhythm Heaven, not confusing the one from DS. It's intruder alert again, the Blastronaut needs your help to protect the Earth from the bad alien invaders. Let's shoot 'em up!

Gameplay
This game is played in first person view from the spaceship. A varying number of aliens will appear on the screen one by one in groups. All aliens have appeared when the music reaches the end of its chorus. The player must then repeat the number and time they appeared, relying on the rhythm of the music. If a beat is missed, that alien will escape.

This game acts the same like in the first Shoot-'em-up, but the Blastronaut has been upgraded and it's now colored gray. A varying numbers of aliens are now appearing two times in three waves (Plus the final one which comes in three) on the screen one by one in groups. You need to shoot 5 to 8 aliens at the same time now by pressing A or even D-Pad. You must follow their rhythm when they come by one after another once the music reaches the end of its chorus by repeating the numbers of the appearing aliens. The speed of the game remains the same.

Endless Game
This game is also present as an Endless Game, unlocked after earning seven Medals.
Gameplay is about the same as the non-endless version, but differences appear:
*The player has a life bar which is depleted with every miss. The life bar will gradually refill after being depleted any amount.
*Once the player has reached the end of the non-endless game, the last three enemies do not appear. Instead, it loops to the second wave of Shoot-'Em-Up 2.
*The player receives points for each hit, which rise as consecutive enemies are defeated.
*Defeating every enemy in a wave will award the player a perfect bonus.
*The background changes every two waves.
*Instead of alerting the player to incoming waves, the Shoot-'Em-Up Radio Lady will congratulate the player for reaching certain scores.
*The music cue mutes every time when you reach the higher level.
*If the player is hit with an empty life bar, the game ends.
