It is the second (third in Japan) game in the ''Rhythm Heaven'' series, following ''[[Rhythm Tengoku]]'' for the [[Game Boy Advance]] and ''[[Rhythm Heaven]]'' for the [[Nintendo DS]]. The game was released in Japan on July 21, 2011 and in North America on February 13, 2012, and was released in Europe on July 6, 2012.
