This page is about the character in Spaceball, which is also known as "Air Batter" in Japanese. "I suppose" you may be looking for that, or the other Rhythm Game known as Air Batter 2?

— Air Batter - Rhythm Tengoku

The Air Batter[1] (エアーバッター?, Eā Battā) appears alongside the Space Umpire in the Rhythm Game Spaceball in Rhythm Tengoku and Rhythm Heaven Megamix.

The Air Batter is a green, human-like figure. He has no face and a white helmet on top of his head. He wears a white baseball outfit and holds a yellow baseball bat. He wears a black belt as well as black shoes.

Throughout Spaceball, the Air Batter puts on various different costumes. The first of which appears to be a bunny rabbit. His clothes and skin turn pink, and he wears a rabbit head. His shoes and belt turn pink as well.

His other costume replaces his head with another big red head. His clothes turn yellow and blue, along with his belt and shoes. The red head itself has big eyes and sweats nervously whenever he hits the baseballs.

Story

The Air Batter is a youth devoted to baseball and rhythm.[1] During Spaceball, he brought a Rice Ball for lunch, but lost it at some point.[2] It appeared mixed in with the balls, and he hit it without a second thought, sending into the void of space. He regretted this while complaining about being hungry.

In the Superb epilogues of Spaceball and Air Batter 2, he receives a trophy for winning first "space". In the other epilogues, he's shown to be very polite, offering an alien his rice ball in exchange for a ball which hit the alien's UFO, and he is seen pulling a tire to train himself. During an interview, he talks fondly of rice balls, and mentions his girlfriend (who incidentally is good at cooking rice balls). When asked why he wears masks during the game, he dodges the question and leaves the interview. It's likely he has no special reason for wearing them.[3]
