Physical Appearance

Captain Tuck wears a light brown parka with red gloves and boots. His sleeves, waist, ankles, and hood are surrounded with white fur to keep him warm. His eyes are always closed. He has a big nose and a mustache.

Story

Expedition Journal, acquired after getting a perfect on Flipper-Flop, gives a lot of information on the adventures of the Flippers and Captain Tuck.

It is revealed that the Flippers put all of their trust in Captain Tuck. They believe in his abilities to lead them. His various quotes from the game encourage them to do their best in the frigid, icy tundra.

Rhythm Heaven Megamix's rhythm item for Flipper-Flop is Hot Borscht. The description of it is stated from the Flippers' point of view. They say that Captain Tuck makes the best borscht, putting in chunks of meat, cubed veggies, and 'diced love.' It helps to keep the Flippers warm during expeditions.

Also in Megamix is Flipper-Flop 2's rhythm item; Blubber Latte. The captain makes the coffee in a mug with a Flipper's face on it. It makes it clear he cares a lot for his seals, as the description says, "He never puts sugar in it, saying that our picture on the mug is all the sweetness he needs."

Purpose

Captain Tuck motivates the seals, and commands them to do their signature flipper-rolls. He keeps count, and tells them when to start flipping at the beginning of the game. His various motivational quotes throughout the Flipper-Flop games include:

"Good!"

"Yes!"

"Nice!"

"Huh, huh!"

"Well Done!"

"Good job!"

The Flippers are four cute white seals that appear in Flipper-Flop in Rhythm Heaven Fever and Rhythm Heaven Megamix.

Physical Appearance

The seals are always seen together in a quartet; four identical seals with two blue dots on their heads and short black whiskers. The seals have blue noses, round bodies, short flippers, and "3" shaped mouths.

Story

The Flippers are always true to the words of Captain Tuck, believing in his every command and staying true to his words. The perfect reward for Flipper Flop, Expedition Journal, describes the adventures they go on with him.

April 16: They're set to arrive at their destination, although they don't seem to be moving and arrive at exactly where they've started. This is referencing their rhythm game, where they just roll back and forth and don't move anywhere.

April 20: A snow storm hits the flippers. They plan on using their "one flipper roll" strategy, and it doesn't seem like it will do the job. Captain Tuck, however, says Good joooob!" and "Nice!", anyway, and the flippers trust the captain's judgement.

April 21: The one flipper roll strategy was ultimately a failure. The narrating flipper approaches the captain inquiring about the ten flipper roll strategy, but Captain Tuck just says, "Well done!". The flipper says he believes in his captain.

Aprill 22: After using their ten flipper rolls strategy, the team is dizzy and disorientated. The flipper asks the captain what the team should do, but Captain Tuck says, "That's it!". The story ends with the flipper restating that he believes in his captain.

In Rhythm Heaven Megamix, the rhythm items for Flipper Flop and Flipper Flop 2 state that the flipper love eating the captain's borscht and drinking the coffee he makes them. The Captain loves the flippers dearly, saying that, rather than using sugar, the Flipper on his coffee mug is the only sweetness he needs.

Purpose

The Flippers keep the beat and follow the orders of their captain.
