Marshal (マッシュ?, Marsh) (also known as Matt in Beat the Beat: Rhythm Paradise), Cam (カモック?, Kamok), and Miss Ribbon (リボンちゃん?, Ribbon-chan) are the first three characters to appear in Rhythm Heaven Fever. Their main role is to greet the player at the Introduction of the game and explain the rules.

Backstory

Marshal, Miss Ribbon, and Cam appear when starting a new game or entering the Rhythm Test. Marshal and Miss Ribbon will also explain some information about the game such as the controls and the player's results.

They appear in Night Walk, in which the player controls Marshal in the same role as Play-Yan while Miss Ribbon and Cam follow him. They appear again in Remix 10.

In Rhythm Heaven Megamix, Marshall makes appearances, such as viewing a painting while the player is in the Museum, sleeping while the player is viewing the Memories, and in the epilogues for Final Remix.

From the right: Cam, Marshal, and Miss Ribbon. Cam is quiet and looks like a thinker, but his mind is actually a blank slate. Marshal looks cute and can be relied upon. Miss Ribbon looks innocent but is really quite stubborn. Some think these guys are related to the Chorus Kids from the previous Rhythm Heaven.
The white one is Matt, the blue one's Cam, and the pink one's Miss Ribbon. Matt looks like a dreamer, but he's pretty down-to-earth. Cam always seems to be deep in thought, but he's really just spacing out. And Miss Ribbon seems innocent and sweet, but is actually pretty stubborn. Are these guys related to the Chorus Kids?

Trivia

  • According to a Japanese database, the source of Marshal's name is that he looks like a marshmallowTemplate:Citation needed.
  • Oddly enough, Cam never speaks with a speech bubble, most likely because he was supposed to be a silent character.
    • Cam's Japanese name is a pun on the word 寡黙 (kamoku), meaning someone who is reserved or silent.
    • The only noise Cam ever makes is the one when the player is prompted to press Ⓐ + Ⓑ in the Rhythm Test.
