Chrom from the Fire Emblem series—the other rumored fighter aside from the Chorus Kids to not be playable in the games—was eventually confirmed to have been originally planned for Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo 3DS / Wii U[1], and the character eventually made his playable debut in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate.
