Manzai (まんざい^?, Manzai) is the 4th Endless Game in Minna no Rhythm Tengoku, unlocked with 32 Medals.

The game revolves around two comedian birds who form the group Ottorizu (おっとりーず^?, Ottorizu).

The player controls the tsukkomi crow Kasuke (カースケ^?, Kasuke), who responds to the boke vulture Kosuke (コースケ^?, Kosuke) who says puns. Sometimes Kosuke ends up thrashing its head back before finishing the pun, in which case the Kasuke slaps him.

Every so often, the duo leap back and the doors in the background open up to reveal the words "SPEED UP!".

Dialogue

All of the puns are based off of the object that they are talking about, whether it be sound or same readings of two words, such as "ame" being "rain" and "candy". The jokes where Kosuke is slapped is a previous joke that isn't finished (although not all jokes have this variant). Kasuke speaks in the kansai (関西) dialect. Some jokes are repeated once or twice. After the last joke, they are repeated randomly.

Trivia

• Manzai is a Japanese comedy routine that involves two comedians. It involves a tsukkomi, or straight man (in this case Kasuke), who reacts to the boke, or funny man (Kosuke)'s jokes and gags, often with slapstick.
  • The idea of a manzai routine was used before in Rhythm Manzai in Rhythm Tengoku.
• Many of the voices in the game were recorded in-house.
• As the game was replaced with Mr. Upbeat overseas, the Reading Material "おっとりーず" (Ottorizu) recieved as the Gift in Karate Man 2, which originally contained a more traditional manzai routine between the two birds, was replaced with one related to Mr. Upbeat himself.
• This game was apparently intended to be a Rhythm Game as well as an Endless Game. It's name can be found grouped together with other Rhythm Games in the message files (listed below). The other entry of the name is grouped with the Endless Games, and is replaced accordingly with Mr. Upbeat. In addition, there is a file for prologue textures for this game (named "layout_prologue_manzai_ver0.szs", though the file itself is empty), which supports this idea as in Rhythm Heaven Fever, only Rhythm Games have a prologue.
  • This would've made sense, as there have been at least one Rhythm Game with an Endless Game variant in prior installments (Sick Beats, Quiz Show and Shoot-'Em-Up). In Rhythm Heaven Fever, Bossa Nova fits this role for the Two-Player Endless Games, but there is no such game in the One Player Endless Games in the final game.
• Most of the assets for the game were removed from the international version of Rhythm Heaven Fever. The only remnants are the unused prologue file, the music and the unused names (the actual dialogue was blanked out in Rhythm Heaven Fever, and each line was replaced with "Comedy Routine" in Beat the Beat: Rhythm Paradise).
