Big Rock Finish |
These ghosts are rocking out at a late-night show. Bedtime's coming, though, so they have to keep the songs on the short side. |
Rhythm Heaven Megamix |
Big Rock Finish (ショートライブ?, Short Live) is the 22nd minigame in Rhythm Heaven and the 95th minigame in Rhythm Heaven Megamix. This game is about the three of the Tiny Ghosts who are rocking out at a late-night show on a table.
Gameplay
The player is Boo-boo, the white ghost, who is next to Ecto, the green ghost. The player is supposed to strum and jump in sync with the ghost next to it. The drummer, Spooky, in the back, will count to 3 (although he sometimes goes 1, 2, 1, 2, 3), then give the player the cue to start strumming. The signal is usually near the climactic ending of the background song. There are 8 songs in total, named "Big Rock Finish A" through "Big Rock Finish H". Assuming strumming starts on beat 0, the first to third strums make a triplet, with the third strum being on beat 1's offbeat and the fourth strum being on beat 2.

Trivia
- The crowd consists of ghosts of many different kinds, one of which is a Sneaky Spirit.
- The songs "Big Rock Finish B" through "Big Rock Finish G" are played in random order from a selection of a few set orders, but "Big Rock Finish A" is always first, and "Big Rock Finish H" is always last.
- "Big Rock Finish H" is what plays during the Big Rock Finish section in Remix 10 (DS).
- The music in Remix 7 is an extended version of "Big Rock Finish A".
- The "Yeah! Yeah! Yeah Yeah!" cue during strumming presents its English dub in the French, German, Italian and Spanish versions of Rhythm Heaven Megamix, but Spooky's voice keeps its different dubs.
- The Japanese version has a different prologue. Instead of ghosts on the letters, It is a spotlight on an empty table. The one used in Rhythm Heaven Megamix is based on the Japanese one.
- Big Rock Finish contains the fastest song in the franchise, with Big Rock Finish C having a BPM of 290.
- A glitch can be performed in Rhythm Heaven Megamix by playing the game until this song, and the pausing and quiting the game. This will cause the timing window to be larger than usual while playing any other game, and can be canceled by playing Big Rock Finish again and getting past Big Rock Finish C, or by resetting the game.
- The player does not have to stop their guitar strum after a note to achieve a Superb.
