The Munchy Monk (修行おとこ?, Shūgyō Otoko) is a bold monk in training who made his debut in the minigame Munchy Monk from Rhythm Heaven.

Backstory

The Munchy Monk is first seen training deep in the mountains, which which involves eating dumplings all day, as well as caring for a baby in Rhythm Heaven Megamix. At one point, the monk was spotted by a bear, who was ready to eat him, but left him alone after witnessing the monk eat a dozen dumplings at once. He was spotted in the mountains by a circus ringmaster who hired him as a clown, but was ironically fired by Carny Barker for eating on the job. The monk's incredible eating abilities earned him the title of "Dumpling Man", as well as news coverage of any sightings of him. At an unknown point, the Munchy Monk was seen performing his act as a proper clown at a carnival.
