Shep: Difference between revisions

After [[Citrus Land]] has been cleared, Shep may visit the [[Café]] as a customer, where the player can talk to him. He mentions that the coffee beans used at the [[Café]] are harvested in [[Citrus Land]], which gives a hint of orange in the aroma<ref>"Do you know about the coffee beans they use here? They're harvested in Citrus Land. True story! That's why there's just a hint of orange in the aroma. I think that's why this place is so popular." ~ [[Shep]], ''[[Rhythm Heaven Megamix]]''</ref>. Shep is very forgetful when he first wakes up, and drinks coffee at the [[Café]] to help himself wake up<ref>"Hm? Have we met before? Sorry, I'm pretty forgetful when I first wake up. That's why I'm here, actually! Coffee helps. Of course, it doesn't hurt that it's delicious..." ~ [[Shep]], ''[[Rhythm Heaven Megamix]]''</ref>. After the incident in [[Citrus Land]], he started training to become a real chef, and finds the terminology used in recipes to be confusing<ref>"I finally started training to become a real chef. Something I've been curious about, though... In recipes, I see "a pinch of salt" or "dash of pepper"... How do they decide what's a pinch and what's a dash? He believes that love and flow are the most important things in cooking<ref>"You wanna know the secret to great cooking? It's cooking with love and with flow. I told a lie the other day. I told a customer I can't cook, but that's not quite true. I do actually have one specialty item I can make. It's called a "donut." He invites the player to visit the restuarant sometime<ref name="one"/>, and he shares a conversation he had with an old fisherman in the market, and hopes they catch the biggest fish, which he hopes to sell at the restaurant<ref>"I was talking to an old fisherman in the market... and he says it's going to be a good year for fish. I'm hoping they catch the biggest fish ever! Then I could put "Humongous Fish" on the menu. Cool, huh?" ~ [[Shep]], ''[[Rhythm Heaven Megamix]]''</ref>. One day, [[Eglantine]] paid a visit to the restaurant in [[Citrus Land]]. She was frustrated at Shep for not being able to cook, yet still carrying a pan. When asked about it, he says it was a gift from his mentor, and so he must always carry it. She was still hungry, and in the end ate his hat<ref>"The other day, I went to the restaurant in Citrus Land. Supposedly they use really high-quality ingredients there. I got there and found out that they DO use great ingredients... but the little chef told me that he doesn't know how to cook! I was so hungry that I lost my temper. I kinda yelled. "IF YOU CANNOT COOK, WHY DO YOU CARRY A PAN, VILE ONE?" ...Or something like that. Heh. And he said the oddest thing. "It was a gift from my mentor, and I must always carry it!" Later on, after [[Tibby]] and the player clear [[Lush Tower]], [[Tibby]] [[Farewell|tries to use its power]] to return to [[Heaven World]], but it is not enough. [[Trey]] informs him that they need a rainbow of power for that, after which the six towers appear, one of them being [[Citrus Tower]]. Here, the player and [[Tibby]] encounter Shep once again, who tells them that his tribe's restuarant at the tower had gone out of business ages ago, and he and his mentor had always dreamt of restoring it. To do so, the player and [[Tibby]] need to clear the five [[Rhythm Games]] within, restoring the flow as well<ref>"Welcome! A table for two? Do you have a reservation here at {{color|#D86306|Citrus Tower}}? Wait, what am I thinking? My tribe's restaurant went out of business ages ago! Restoring our ancestral bistro was always my dream. ...And of course the dream of my dear mentor, rest his soul. Wait, if you two can restore this place's flow... maybe customers will come back and want to eat here! You'll do it, right? Tell me you'll do it! Naturally, I'll help you on your way back to Heaven World." ~ [[Shep]], ''[[Rhythm Heaven Megamix]]''</ref>. Upon doing so, Shep awakens the tower's secret power, which helps create the rainbow needed to reach [[Heaven World]]<ref>"You've done it! You have restored flow to {{color|#D86306|Citrus Tower}}! My mentor would be so pleased if he could see this place! As promised, I will awaken the secret {{color|#0E49B3|power}} of the tower!" ~ [[Shep]], ''[[Rhythm Heaven Megamix]]''</ref>.
