The Donpans (ドンパンズ?, Donpanzu), also known as the Bon Dance Musume (ボンダンス娘?, Bondansu Musume) in Bon Dance, are a group of four girls that appear alongside Yagura-chan in The☆Bon Odori and Bon Dance in Rhythm Tengoku.
Story
The Donpans perform the "Bon Odori" in many towns and villages, and they've competed with many rivals along the way[1]. A certain producer who was keeping an eye on them decided to put them on the big stage, where their dance is accompanied by pop music, now under the name of Bon Dance Musume[2].

Trivia
- The appearance of the player's Donpan varies across Rhythm Tengoku:
- The official artwork shows her with red hair and accessories, while the flowers in her hair are entirely yellow. Her glasses are also completely black. In The☆Bon Odori's prologue, the flowers in her hair have white disks instead.
- In-game, she has reddish-pink hair and accessories. The flowers in her hair have yellow petals and a blue disc. Her glasses have a pink rim with blue & white lenses.
- On the game icons, she has orange hair and no accessories besides the yellow flowers/hearts (with only one visible due to positioning). The flower has a pink disc with yellow petals around it. Her skin and clothes are pale white on The☆Bon Odori's icon, while she wears blue on Bon Dance's.
- The artwork on the promotional hand fan (shown above) depicts the girls with more detailed pupils.
