Tanaka (田中?, Tanaka)[1] and Kanojo (カノジョ?, Girlfriend) (also known as Josei (女性?, woman)[1]) are a man and a woman who appear in Remix 5 and Ninja no Shison in Rhythm Tengoku, where the man protects the woman from getting hit by stones shot by Waru Mono. They are descendants of the Ninja and his Lord.

Backstory

The night after the Ninja protected his Lord from enemy fire, he had a premonition of a young man, who was displeased with the world. This man is Tanaka, the Ninja's descendant. The premonition showed the young man protecting a woman from enemies, the woman being a descendant of the Lord. The Ninja uses his ninjutsu to hide a scroll urging Tanaka to continue protecting her. The descendant's encounter finally arrives. With the blood of his ancestors flowing through his veins, Tanaka is very capable of handling the stick like a sword. The woman is destined to be protected by him.[2]
In Remix 5, Tanaka once again protects the woman. Various images of a man and a woman are shown throughout the remix, implied to be the descendants, where the man leaves the woman, but later returns to her side and they embrace. The epilogues depict the future of the descendants, be they forever torn apart (Try Again), anxious after their wedding (OK), or live happily ever after with children of their own (Superb).
