The Giraffe (キリン?, Kirin) is a white giraffe with orange polka dots that appears in the minigame Tap Trial in Rhythm Tengoku, Rhythm Heaven Fever, and Rhythm Heaven Megamix.

Giraffes also appear in Animal Acrobat and Jungle Gymnast, where the acrobatic monkeys (both male and female) swing on the them.

The Giraffe usually doesn't show up in Remixes in the Tap Trial sections. However, the Giraffe does still exist offscreen in Remix 7 (the pig version) and Songbird Remix. In the Remix 7 and Remix 8 variant, the Giraffe is replaced with a dragon, and in Tap Trial 2, a camel. Neither of them ever appear onscreen, although interestingly the prologue for Tap Trial 2 does include the camel's legs.

Backstory

The Giraffe of Tap Trial is a friend of the monkeys, and is very impressionable and expressive. However, the monkeys find it annoying how he stoically stands aside instead of tap dancing. After a while, the monkeys seem to have secretly changed their practice location without telling the giraffe.[1]
