The Monkey (SALU?) is a purple monkey with white skin, two yellow earrings, black sunglasses and red tie on his torso who first appeared in Tap Trial 2 in Rhythm Tengoku replacing the normal Monkeys.

Trivia
- This kind of monkey has a similar appearence to the Offbeat Monkeys in Monkey Watch.
- A yellow version of this monkey appears in the Concert Hall in as part of Samurai Drummer's Band, playing the trumpets and saxophone.
- This Monkey appears in the Tambourine segments in Remix 2 in place of the regular Monkey. The two of them are shown in the Rhythm Heaven Fever Cast together.
- In Rhythm Tengoku, the monkeys are taller than their artwork suggests, while in Rhythm Heaven Fever and Rhythm Heaven Megamix, they are the same size.
