Translator Tom is an astronaut who appears in First Contact in Rhythm Heaven Megamix, where he is given the task of translating the Martian for the scientists.

- His name seems to be a reference to the song "Space Oddity", created by David Bowie in 1969, more specifically the song's lyric "Ground control to Major Tom".
- His name is also an example of alliteration.
- This is one of a few characters that gets replaced in its game sequel and never appear again. (Beside Challenge Train)
