Rhythm Heaven

Samurai Slice is an endless subgame that can be unlocked in Rhythm Heaven. Its features a returning character, The Wandering Samurai, who slices watermelon, fish, and other things for peasant boys to catch. Tapping the screen triggers him to step on a wooden plank in timing to bounce off the food that comes falling a top of it. coins will come out of the sliced food which racks up the player's score. Their score will increase much more as the environmental scene changes to a full moon. The game moves faster as the score rises. If the samurai fails to slice at least three food items, the game is over.

Food items to be sliced

The variation in timing is also based on which food is going to be sliced.

Watermelon- The most basic item to slice. The watermelon will bounce off the wooden plank once and then will be able to be sliced with the samurai's sword.

Blue fish- This item will bounce off the wooden plank twice, so waiting twice as long to slice is crucial.

Gold fish- This is fish is rarer than the blue fish. Slicing it will remove one mistake made during play.

Unidentifed red object- This item has a big red nose. once bounced off the wooden plank it will be launched in the air and out of sight, and then fall down in front of the samurai. It will take longer timing to slice.

Trivia

Rhythm Heaven Fever

In Rhythm Heaven Fever, there is a Samurai Slice, too. The main character is still The Wandering Samurai.

In this game, you are slicing up demons who are spawning from a dark portal, in order to save the Lost Pinwheel of a little girl. This game has a sequel, called Samurai Slice 2.

Gameplay

There are 2 moves you can perform. The Slice (A) And the combo, whirlwind slice (A+B) You use the normal slice for the red demons, but the green ones come out faster, so you have to use the whirlwind slice. The Red demons can also vary in size, but this is just a distraction. There is also a story, which pops up on to the screen mid-game. Again, it is just a distraction.

Samurai Slice is the 19th Game in Rhythm Heaven Fever.
