A “Perfect” is the highest rating you can achieve on a Rhythm Game in the Rhythm Heaven series.

Reaching a Perfect Campaign

To unlock a Perfect Campaign for a Rhythm Game, you must have to Superb the level first. Any other grade will lock the campaign until a Superb is achieved. After a level has been completed, the campaign will open in random intervals.

Going For a Perfect

When a campaign appears, the rhythm game’s icon will be edited to show that a player can start. When it begins, an icon appears at the top with text beside it saying, “Go For a Perfect!”. When the player gets a hit, the icon will change as a visual cue that the game will continue. The icon is different in almost all of the games in the series.

Rhythm Heaven Game Icon “Hit” Cue
Rhythm Tengoku A heart with the letter P in the middle. The heart will emit a white shine.
Rhythm Heaven A pink letter P with eyes that shift back and forth. The letter will glow and jump slightly.
Rhythm Heaven Fever A pink letter P with eyes that is stationary. The letter will glow and jump slightly.
Rhythm Heaven Megamix A golden letter P with eyes that disappears and reappears along with the beat. Nothing happens.

To actually achieve a ”Perfect,” a player must complete a Rhythm Game without getting a “Miss” (or a “Barely” in some cases.) If anyone receives one of these, the campaign will end. The player can retry the campaign three times, and if they miss on the third try, the campaign will be closed and the player will have to wait for it to reopen. The campaign can also be closed by playing different Rhythm Games, pausing and quitting the game, or retrying the stage.

Rewards

After a “Perfect” is obtained, the game’s icon will be edited to show proof that it has been completed. The Rhythm Game will also be given either a music track listen to or a note to read in the Cafe. In Rhythm Heaven Megamix, the player is not given any of those, but is instead given a Flow Ball.
