Gameplay
The player plays as an alarm clock who must, ironically, wake up the mechanical bird sleeping inside an old man's cuckoo clock at the right time. Each night, the bird requests a specific time for the player to wake up. A beat is then counted off, and the clock starts ticking from 1 o'clock. After roughly four beats, the screen fades out, requiring the player to count on their own. When the needed time is reached, the player must stop the clock. The bird then wakes up and checks the time.

This gets mixed up in various ways as the game progresses: sometimes the bird requests a time off the hour, and later on the music may cut out entirely. Sometimes, the music is played in swing rhythm, as well.
Description
The player plays as an alarm clock who must, ironically, wake up the mechanical bird sleeping inside a cuckoo clock at the right time. Before each round, the bird will tell the player what time it would like to wake up. A beat will be counted off, and the clock will start ticking. After roughly four beats, the clock will disappear, so the player must keep counting on their own. When the needed time is reached, the player must stop the clock. The bird will wake up and check the time. If the time is correct, the player can continue to the next stage. On occasion, the bird will ask to be woken up off the hour, which requires the player to pause in between two hour marks.

*Perfect!/Ace!: The bird will pop out of the cuckoo clock and toss a seed into a flower pot. The seed will grow into a petaled flower.
|Ace!=The time shown is what the bird requested. The bird then pops out of the cuckoo clock and toss a seed into a flower pot, which blooms into a petaled flower, and a point is counted. The old man is happy. The game continues to the next night.
*Early!/Late!: If the player is off by roughly 15 minutes, the clock will blush and turn forward or back to the proper time. The bird will pop out and toss a seed like normal, but the resulting flower will have no petals.
|Early!/Late!=The time shown is off by roughly 15 minutes, causing the clock to blush and adjust to hide the mistake. The bird pops out and tosses a seed like normal, but the resulting flower has no petals, though a point is still counted. The old man looks unamused. The game continues to the next night.
*Miss...: The bird will jump out of bed in shock while the clock goes flying. Or if the player does nothing, the time flies and changes the background leaving bird sleeping forever. Either case, the game will end.
|Miss...=The time shown is completely off. The bird is shocked from waking up too early or oversleeping, and the game is over. If the player does nothing, time flies and eventually night falls, with the bird missing a day, and the game is over.}}

Trivia
*If the word CLOCKWORK is put into the Police Call phone, a secret word will be activated for this game (the word is BOUTS which can be seen after completing 5 to 10 rainbow flowers). The codeword can be put into the phone to unlock a secret call.
*Inputting the code word CLOCKWORK in Police Call gives the player a tip about there being a code word in this game (the word is BOUTS: every so often the flowers bloom with a letter on them, spelling it out). The code word can be put into Police Call for an easter egg.
*Rhythm Tengoku characters make cameos during the levels 10-13. The moon will turn into a Virus from Sick Beats, Ms. Whiskers from Rat Race will be standing on the window, and the Space Umpire from Spaceball will be seen in the sky.
*various characters from Rhythm Tengoku ocassionally make cameos during the nightfall scene. The moon may turn into a Virus from Sick Beats, Ms. Whiskers from Rat Race may be standing on the window, and Space Umpire from Spaceball may be seen in the sky.
