Live (ライブ?, Raibu) is a feature in Rhythm Tengoku that is unlocked after clearing Remix 8. Here the player controls the drummer of one of three bands, each performing 3 different songs from the game. The same controls from the Drum Lessons are used here.

Drum Girls LIVE!

Drum Boys LIVE!

Drum Samurai's Band LIVE!

Epilogue

Other Characters

These three characters appear in the epilogues of this mode.

Oba-chan (おばちゃん?, Old Lady) is the cleaning lady at the live house. She supports everyone who is trying their best. It seems that there are surprisingly many musicians who have remained in the industry because of the lady’s unassuming words.[1]

The Owner (オーナー?, Ōnā) of the live house is a shady looking guy, but he supports young musicians as "friends" behind the scenes.[1]

The Producer (プロデューサー?, Purodeyūsā) is a talented producer at a production company. He is passionate about his own musical activities and training newcomers. He is very stoic, despite his outgoing appearance.[1] He also makes a cameo appearence in the Superb epilogue of Remix 5 in Rhythm Heaven.

Trivia

  • The drummer of the Drum Girls is Yagura-chan.
  • In Rhythm Heaven, the Battle of the Bands serves a similar purpose.
  • The jumps done by the Drum Girls and the Drum Boys during an important part of a song, as well as the graphics for the speakers in the background, are used again in Rockers.
  • This mode has a unique ranking system, complete with three epilogues. Which epilogue the player will get depends on the level of excitement displayed by the crowd at the end.
  • There is an unused version of the Drum Girls where they play the song from Bunny Hop.[2]
