Backstory
Their dance is considered brutal because those who mistime their moves will end up getting hit the person next to them[1].
The Space Dancers appear frequently in weekly magazines and are considered the rivals of the Cosmo Dancers. Experts say the Space Dancers can't compare to the Cosmo Dancers and their sharp moves[2].
The Space Dancers appear to be racing fans, as they form a crowd in Freeze Frame. In Rhythm Heaven Megamix, many quartets of variously colored Space Dancers also appear.

Trivia
- An official comic suggests the Paddlers are Space Dancers who take a break from dancing to improve their rhythm.
- Supporting Cast 1 states the "table-tennis guys" are racing fans. This is likely because the Space Dancers appear in Freeze Frame, but their game was not officially localized until Rhythm Heaven Megamix, and their visual similarity to the Paddlers is enough to make the connection.
- The Space Dancers have yellow hands in game, but official artwork depicts them having white hands for unknown reasons.
