According to an Iwata Asks interview apparently sega approached Them with an offer for an arcade version.The Apparent Reason was that apparently the game was popular with SEGA staff.

Differences

• Karate Joe wears black shorts and red boxing gloves
• The Clappy Trio wear astronaut suits.
• Air Batter is now colored blue.
• Cadets are wearing pink dresses and flowers on their helmets.
• The Sound quality of the game was improved
