Baxter & Forthington (クイックそしてスロー?, Quick and Slow), also known as Quick and Slow in Beat the Beat: Rhythm Paradise, are a dog and cat from the Rhythm Game Air Rally. Not much else is known about them, due to them only making one major appearance.
Personality
Forthington is very teasy and likes sweet things like donuts. He also seems to like playing Badminton in the sky with Baxter. However, unlike him, Baxter prefers healthier food such as vegetables.
Purpose
In Rhythm Heaven Fever, Baxter and Forthington's primary appearance is in Air Rally where they play badminton mid-air. Forthingon is the one seen shouting in the beat, and when switching rhythms, counting "2, 3, 4!". They are also seen wearing a chef hat and swats the birdie with a spatula in Remix 3. They also appear in Remix 8 (Wii), Honeybee Remix, and the final remixes of Fever and Megamix, respectively.

Trivia
- Forthington has a resemblance to Spitz from the WarioWare series.
- In Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, the spirit fight featuring Baxter and Forthington takes place on the Pilotwings stage. Forthington is represented by a yellow Incineroar, while Baxter is represented by a yellow Duck Hunt. Both are distracted by items.
- The name's Baxter and Forthington are a pun on "back and forth", referencing how the birdie is hit back and forth in Air Rally.
