The cadets are seen wearing green military outfits and green boots. Their suits cut off short, leaving a lot of their legs visible. They have black eyes, pink cheeks, and always have a smile despite the harsh training from [[Sarge]]. Perhaps their most distinguishable feature is the large red and yellow helmet worn by each one. The red side has an antenna coming out of it.

The Cadets[citation needed] (隊員[1]?, Taiin) are soldiers who appear in Marching Orders in Rhythm Tengoku and Rhythm Heaven Megamix.

Physical Appearance

The cadets are seen wearing green military outfits and green boots. Their suits cut off short, leaving a lot of their legs visible. They have black eyes, pink cheeks, and always have a smile despite the harsh training from Sarge. Perhaps their most distinguishable feature is the large red and yellow helmet worn by each one. The red side has an antenna coming out of it.

Backstory

One of the Cadets, likely the one the player controls, has a diary received as a letter upon perfecting Toran to Porin.

The cadet enlisted in the Marcher Corps on April 16th, insisting they would do their best for their comrades.

On April 20th, the commander got mad at them for not marching in step with the others.

On April 28th, the cadet received a piece of candy for sweeping the front of the station.

On May 4th, the cadet says they may need to shapen up so they don't get left behind.

On May 8th, the cadet was told by the Sarge that he was playing with rabbits in space. The cadet questions the Sarge's health. (This is a reference to Remix 7 (GBA) and Remix 8 (GBA))

On May 16th, the cadet says that they saw a group of people that looked just like the Sarge.

The last entry, written on May 22nd, shows the cadet exclaiming they saw the Sarge doing... something. (The entry ends before specifying what the commander was doing, although it may be referring to the events of Marching Orders 2.)

Rhythm Heaven Megamix reveals that the cadets actually wear their helmets to make it obvious if one's not marching in sync.

Purpose

Marching Orders is the first game in Rhythm Tengoku to use the B button. It's also the first keep-the-beat esque game, which helps the player learn how to keep a beat with the A button for long periods of time.
