It is about an angler named Ann Glerr who is on a fishing trip aiming for Quicknibble, Pausegill and Threefish.

In this game, the player must try to time catching the fish. Fish will approach the hook one by one. The player has to set the hook at the right time or else the fish will swim away.

There are three different fish that will appear: the Quicknibble, the Pausegill, and the Threefish. They will make a signal on when to try to catch it, pressing A. Quicknibble, the orange one, will nip the bait twice with the beat, and bite on the third beat. The player must set the hook on the third bite. Pausegill, the yellow fish, will nip the bait three times in swift succession, after which it will pause then bite on the next beat. Threefish, the biggest one, will quickly taste the bait with its tongue, after which it waits three beats and a half-beat before biting. The player must set the hook on the half-beat.

Timing Notes

• Hit: The fish is caught, said fish trying to swim away.
• Barely: Barely graze the fish, not quite catching them, making a "dink" as they steal the bait off of the hook. A barely counts as a miss in this game.
• Miss: The fish eats the bait and laughs mischievously. If pressed too early, the fish will swim away.

Skill Star

Near the end of the game, a Quicknibble will swim away and a Threefish will take its place. You have to hook the Threefish at the right moment to collect the star.

Trivia

• The blue student from the DJ School makes a cameo appearance in the Try Again rating screen of the game as a salesman where Ann Glerr goes to buy some fish after unsuccessful fishing.
• This game has slightly been upgraded in Megamix as there are less flying fish appearing in the screen where you are going to fish Quicknibble, while the original has more of them appearing through the screen. Also, Quicknibble and Pausegill's mouths when they are hooked were changed to be closed rather than being opened.
• The name of this minigame is based off the WarioWare: Twisted (or WarioWare: Touched) microgame with the same name.
