Capture the excitment of car racing on film! |
Template:Game-Nav Template:Minigame infobox Freeze Frame (カメラマン kamera man "camera man") is the thirteenth game in Rhythm Heaven. You are a photograph named T.J Snapper who must take snaps to the racers passing by you in the Rhythm Kart. Attaining a perfect unlocks "A Confession".
Gameplay
In this game, you're a camera man named T.J. Snapper taking photos of various race cars as they cross the finish line of a race track. Most of the time, they'll be small cars, and will give an audio cue of when they're about to cross the line with an obvious "vroom" sound.
There's also a very fast long car where the audio cue for that will come as it's passing on the other side of the track.
Controls
- Tap: Take picture
Timing Notes
- Hit: The photographer will lower the camera and smile at his success. All pictures show the racers in the middle. A "pr-r-RING" like noise will sound and depending on the version you are playing, either a green thumbs up will appear or a circle will appear.
- Barely: The photographer will lower the camera and tilt his head to the side and a tear will well up in one eye. At least one picture, while the others are "Spot on!", will show only the front half or the back half of the racer. A "DEE-DOO-DOP" like noise will sound and depending on what version you are playing, either a yellow thumbs up pointing right will appear or a triangle will appear.
- Miss: The photographer will lower the camera and streams of tears will pour from his face. At least one picture will show up as the race track only. A "BZZZT" noise will sound and depending on what version you are playing, either a red thumbs down will appear or a X will appear.
Rating Notes
- Superb: "Smile for the camera, champ!"
- OK: "There's nothing wrong with second place!"
- Try Again: "I promise I'll take better shots of you next time!"

Trivia
- Sometimes, when taking a good picture of the racers, characters from Rhythm Tengoku will be seen in the pictures such as Sneaky Rats, sneaky spirits, and ninjas (as seen in the photo). Also, the drivers occasionally flash the peace sign at the camera.
- In addition, some characters from Rhythm Tengoku are part of the forming crowd in the background such as Rap Men, The Clappy Trio, the space dancers, and the monkeys.
- The game starts with a text "Rhythm Kart" sliding down. This can be a reference to Mario Kart, a racing spinoff Mario game.
- In the European version, the symbols were changed to hand signals; the cross was replaced by a green "thumbs down" gesture, the triangle was replaced by a yellow "fist" gesture and the circle was replaced by a green "thumbs up" gesture.
- That change was also done to all English versions of Rhythm Heaven Megamix.
- In the tutorial, you practice taking a picture of a single yellow car. In the game, there are no single yellow cars
