Space Gramps's mustache is a separate sprite from his face, which partially obscures a smile[1]. Similarly, Cosmic Girl's hat oscures her orange hair.
There are sprites for speech bubbles with "RIGHT", "DOWN" and "PUNCH" written on them, presumably to be used as cues in the Practice. The used graphics instead depict the instructions in a lime-green oval box, with controller graphics and the instructions written in Japanese. Cosmo Dance has its own unused versions of these, as well as the あなた (You?) sprite, being in a light-red rectangular box instead.
There are unused animations of the Space Dancers including a singular sprite of two dancers next to each other in the key pose each move, as well as an animation showing all three sprites together. There is what looks to be the squatting animation in reverse. An early version of the pre-punch animation has them, along with Space Gramps, jut their hands out more than usual. There's a sprite of a dancer with a dejected look, meant to be the first frame of the miss animation, which instead uses the neutral face.
The background never moves in Remix 3, meaning some parts of it remain offscreen.

Unused Content
All unused sprites and animations for the Space Dancers and Space Gramps return remade in Rhythm Heaven Megamix, but are no more used than before.
There are unused animations of the Space Dancers and Cosmo Dancers including a singular sprite of two dancers next to each other in the key pose each move, as well as an animation showing all three sprites together. These are labeled "twinsA", "twinsB", "twinsC" and "twinsmove", respectively.
There is what looks to be the squatting animation in reverse, labeled "move".
The Space Dancers and Cosmo Dancers have an early version of the pre-punch animation, labeled "punchC", where they jut their hands out more than usual. Space Gramps has an animation labeled "Bossyoiyoi", being a combined version of the pre-punch animation, which the used version is separated into two parts. Cosmic Girl's equivalent is instead a duplicate of her beat animation.
There's a sprite of a dancer with a dejected look, meant to be the first frame of the "damage" animation, which instead uses the neutral face.
Cosmic Girl has an unused fully assembled sprite with a slightly different design. Unlike Space Gramps, the Space Dancers and the Cosmo Dancers, her sprites in this game are made up of separate parts. On that note, her head is not drawn with any hair under the hat in this game.
She has an unused sprite with her mouth open, used as the single frame for the "BossTalk" and "BossBlink" animations, which previously in Rhythm Tengoku were just duplicates of her idle stance. While Space Gramps does do these actions, Cosmic Girl does not. She also has sprites of her squatting while facing forward like Space Gramps does, and as she did in Rhythm Tengoku. In Rhythm Heaven Megamix, she faces to the left like the Space Dancers and Cosmo Dancers instead.
Miscellaneous
Space Gramps and Cosmic Girl make an embarrassed face if the player messes up and gets hit. The internal name being "BossAngry" shows they were meant to to show anger instead.
