You can win medals by completing a minigame with a particularly good score. The more medals you collect, the more bonus content will be unlocked. |
The Medal Corner (メダルコーナー?, Medaru Kōnā) is where all the bonus games in the Rhythm Heaven Series are unlocked, such as Rhythm Toys and Endless Games. They are unlocked by collecting Medals as the name suggests.
Rhythm Tengoku
In Rhythm Tengoku, this area was called the Omake Corner (おまけコーナー?, Bonus Corner) instead. Here the player can access the Café, Rhythm Toys, Endless Games, Drum Lessons, Credits and Live.
Rhythm Heaven
In Rhythm Heaven, the Café, Credits and Battle of the Bands are part of the blue line in the middle of the game select area. Presumably due to a lack of space, the Medal Corner was made it's own section on this line, where the player can access the Endless Games, Rhythm Toys, Guitar Lessons ★Basic Course★ and Guitar Lessons ★Technical Course★.
Rhythm Heaven Fever
In Rhythm Heaven Fever, The Medal Corner is now on the left side of the Game Select menu as it was in Rhythm Tengoku. Here the player can access the Café, Rhythm Toys, Endless Games, Extra Games and the Credits. Additionally the Two Player menu has the Two-Player Endless Games on the far left, which in turn require Duo Medals to unlock.
Rhythm Heaven Megamix
In Rhythm Heaven Megamix, there is no Medal Corner to speak of. This time, the Endless Games are accessed by going to that game's respective spot in the Museum at the Café. There are no Rhythm Toys either, but Figure Fighter VS and Feed Goat serve a similar purpose. The player can also talk to Saltwater to view the Memories, where the player can rewatch the three Ending cutscenes.
