*During gameplay, if the newbie stops in such a way that a rat isn't covered up by the dishes, those rats will cower in fear, and sweat profusely. Even if the newbie gets up to move behind the dishes, Ms. Whiskers will never attack.
**Additionally, the epilogue shows different outcomes regarding how much cheese the rats managed to take back. During gameplay, the rats always reach the cheese no matter how poorly the player performed. It is possible the player's performance determines how well the rats are able to bring the cheese back to their families.

The rats (ねずみ?, Nezumi) are three little rodents who appear in Rat Race in Rhythm Tengoku and Rhythm Heaven Megamix. Together, they sneak across a kitchen table to hide from a cat named Ms. Whiskers[1] (ネコ?, Neko).
The player controls the Newbie[2] who runs between the two brown rats.

Story
