You play as three kids who are tossing a ball around. They yell the name of the person they are about to throw the ball to and proceed to do so after. The character controlled by the A button is Aka-chan (red), B button is Ao-kun (blue). and the character controlled by the D-Pad is Kii-yan (Yellow). There are three techniques (called super toss techniques in game):

The player controls the Toss Boys, who are tossing a ball around. The ball itself is dispensed by the orange door in the middle of the screen, and goes to the character indicated by an arrow. They yell the name of the person they are about to throw the ball to and proceed to do so after. The character controlled by GBA is Aka-chan (red), GBA is Ao-kun (blue) and GBA is Kii-yan (yellow). At the end of each set, Kii-yan pops the ball and a new one is dispensed for the next set. If the ball pops because the player missed, a new one is dispensed after a brief moment.

A-B Dual Toss: Aka-chan bounces the ball back and forth with Ao-kun. Ao-kun then either launches it to Kii-yan or throws it normally.
Each toss boy (and girl) has their own Special Move:<br>

AB TossToss: Aka-chan bounces the ball back and forth with Ao-kun, ending when either of them does a normal or high toss.<br>
Blue Blur Toss: Ao-kun bounces the ball a number of times which he usually launches to Kii-yan.
Self Blue: Ao-kun bounces the ball a few times before launching it away.<br>

Yellow Quick: Kii-yan bounces the ball twice in quick succession, the second one launching it quickly.
Yellow Lightning Toss: Kii-yan bounces the ball two times in quick succession, the second one launching it with speed.

Trivia
*Despite being named the Toss Boys, Aka-chan is a girl.
**This is because boys in Japanese is and was not considered a gendered word at any point in history, unlike in English where boys being gender neutral is a fairly recent development.
*They are each named after the Japanese word for their respective colors (Aka meaning red, Ao meaning blue and Kii meaning yellow.)
*This is one of the few games in the entire series that uses all three face buttons. The other two are Marching Orders and Super Samurai Slice.

Development History
Trivia
Toss Boys/Development
* Despite it being named the "Toss Boys," not all of them are boys. Aka-chan (red kid) is actually female. However, Ao-kun and Kii-yan are male.
In Other Languages
* It has been stated that the trio are best/close friends.
{{Lang
* Each one of their names are based off of Japanese colors (Aka is red, Ao is blue and Kii is yellow.)
|jp=トスボーイズ
* All 3 of them are primary colors (which is ironic because they are close friends). This is unknown if this is intentional or not.
