Hi-Hat is, obviously enough, a Hi-Hat with a tongue and two eyes. Bouncing on Hi-Hat are springs shaped like Mr. Upbeat. Hi-Hat's background is a solid light blue color that changes with the rhythm you play. Different characters including the Blue Birds,Hairy Vegetables, Marshal, Miss Ribbon, and Cam can appear in the background.

With Hi-Hat, you can play 4, 8, and 16 beat rhythms. By pressing A+B, the tiny Mr. Upbeat springs can bounce off of you but you must release the buttons in order for the big one to bounce. By repeating this for long enough, music will gradually begin to play. If you miss, the music will partially fade out.

By maintaining a 4-beat rhythm for long enough, a remix of the theme from Blue Birds will begin to play, and the Blue Birds themselves will appear in the background in groups of three.
Hi-Hat is the 3rd Rhythm Toy in Rhythm Heaven Fever. It is unlocked with 14 Medals.

The player controls Mr. Hi-Hat, also known as Hi-Hat in Beat the Beat: Rhythm Paradise, a percussion instrument with a round face, nice eyebrows and cute tongue. Bouncing on Hi-Hat are weights with springs. The player must clamp the Hi-Hat down when the first weight hits and release as the biggest weight lands. Repeating this creates a simple rhythm, with more instruments added the longer the beat is kept going. The player can choose to view a demo at any time, but viewing it will not progress the addition of instruments.

If you are able to keep an 8-beat for long enough, you will begin to hear a remastered version of the Arabic Rhythm Tweezers theme playing. Once again, in the background, you will see yellow onions in groups of three.

Lastly, keeping a 16-beat will play a version of Rhythm Heaven Fever's title screen theme. In the background, you will see pink versions of Marshal, Miss Ribbon, and Cam.

The player can select from three different beats, each with an arrangement of an existing song from the Rhythm Heaven series:
*4-beat, featuring an arrangement of Blue Birds from Rhythm Heaven. Silhouettes of The Blue Birds can be seen.
*8-beat, featuring an arrangement of Rhythm Datsumō from Rhythm Tengoku. Silhouettes of the Harry Onion can be seen.
*16-beat, featuring an arrangement of the Rhythm Heaven Fever Title Screen theme. Silhouettes of Marshal, Cam, and Miss Ribbon can be seen.
