The player controls Slugger, the batter in yellow clothing on the right side of the screen. On the other side is Pitcher, a young girl wearing pink clothing. She throws a baseball behind a curtain, and it flies out after four beats. The player needs to swing on the fifth beat to hit the ball.

The player controls Slugger, the batter in yellow on the left side of a baseball field. On the other side of the field is the Pitcher, a young girl wearing pink. She will throw a baseball at the batter. The baseball will be thrown behind a curtain and will fly out after four beats. The player needs to swing on the fifth beat to hit the ball.
The entire game revolves around trying to mislead the player. Although they only need to swing on the fifth beat, the game zooms in or out and cuts off the music, and at one point zooming all the way out.

The entire game revolves around trying to mislead the player. Although you only need to swing on the fifth beat, the game will try to use visuals and sound to confuse the player. This includes making the screen visibly beat in an unhelpful pattern, zooming in, cutting off music, and at one point zooming all the way out of the park.

In the end, its revealed that the curtain in the middle was hiding a monkey. It turns out that it was catching the ball from the pitcher and throwing them at the batter after five beats, causing the delay.

In the end, the curtain goes up to reveal a Monkey, who is the one catching the ball and throwing it with a delay.

*A: Swing bat

*Hit: The batter will successfully hit the ball at the screen (literally breaking it at one point) as the crowd cheers. The more hits the player make as the game goes on, the more the batter will show off, doing things like waving his bat. The pitcher will also get more upset and nervous as more hits are made, and will even throw her hat on the ground if the first five throws are hit.
|Console=Wii
*Barely: The batter will simply tap the ball as it falls to the ground. The pitcher will be happy when this happens. A barely counts as a miss.
|caption=Monkey Umpire's Call
*Miss: Not even hitting the ball when swinging will cause the batter to spin around from the swing, the audience amused. Not swinging at all will cause the batter to look confused as the ball goes past him. Either way, the pitcher will be happy.

Trivia
Trivia
*The game's general gameplay and controls make it reminiscent of the Rhythm Tengoku game Spaceball.
*When the screen zooms out completely, a city can be seen in the background. This city is a stock photo of New York City from before September 2001, edited to be black and white. In Rhythm Heaven Megamix, the city is edited further.
*This game and Spaceball both show up in Rhythm Heaven Megamix, meaning the game has two separate Baseball games.
Development History
*When the pitcher walks back, one can see her walking through the hat she threw on the ground. This error was fixed in Megamix.
Exhibition Match/Development
*The VS screen featuring Pitcher and Slugger in Megamix was redrawn. A comparison can be seen below.
* In the Japanese version, the logo at the bottom says “Batting Show”, while in the American version, it says “Batting Exhibition” instead.
