In the game, the player controls a square-shaped "launchpad" as it flies into space. As the launchpad flies, multiple kinds of rockets will pop up onto it. When a rocket appears on the launchpad, a countdown will appear on the launchpad's screen. The player needs to launch the rocket when the countdown reaches 0, launching it into space.
In the game, the player controls a square-shaped Launchpad as it flies into space. As the launchpad flies, multiple models of Rhythm Rockets pop up onto it. When a rocket appears on the Launchpad, a countdown appears on the Launchpad's screen. The player needs to launch the rocket when the countdown reaches 0, launching it into space. The are four different models of Rhythm Rockets, each with their own type of countdown.

*Family Model: The basic red and white "Trusty" model counts down from 3, one number per beat.
The are four different types of rockets, each with their own type of countdown.
*Party Cracker Model: The blue "Cracker" model counts down from 5, at a fast pace.

*Bell Model: The green "Belle" model counts down from 7, at a very fast pace.
-Red "Ship" Rocket: Counts down from 3, at the rate of one number per beat.
*Bowling Model: The gray "Striker" model counts down from 1, at a very slow pace. Launches on the third beat.

The countdowns are used to help judge the time to launch, but are also to confuse; the timing for each rocket other than the red ones is the same.
-Blue "Party Hat" Rocket: Counts down from 5, at a fast pace.

-Green "Bell" Rocket: Counts down from 7, at a very fast pace.

Grey "Bowling Pin" Rocket: Counts down from 1, at a very slow pace.

The countdowns are used to help judge the time to launch, but are also to confuse; the timing for each rocket other than the red ones is roughly the same.

Launch Party is the 5th Rhythm Game in the Two-Player Menu in Rhythm Heaven Fever.
A version of the game can be unlocked in the two-player mode, requiring the completion of the original game and the previous two-player game, Flipper-Flop, to unlock.

The game has two launchers, with the first player's being blue, and the second's orange. Both launchers have rockets pop up on them to be launched. The rockets and timing for the players are the same, requiring them to launch at the same time. However, partway through the game, each player will end up moving far into the background; they still need to launch rockets, so they need to contend with both the other player and stars obscuring their view.

The game has two launchers, with P1's being blue, and P2's being orange. Both players simply have to launch the same kind of rockets simultaneously. However, partway through the game, each player's launcher moves around in the background as an additional distraction.<gallery>Screenshot Wii Launch Party Two Player.png</gallery>clear

Trivia
Trivia
*During the game, two voices can be heard, with a man, likely a member of the rockets' crew, communicating their findings to a woman at mission control. There are three distinct points with this dialogue:
*Getting either a Try Again or OK rating has a member of The Clappy Trio appearing on the rating screen. A Superb rating lets you see the UFO from Airboarder in the rating screen.
**"Now launching on our mission to find where rhythm comes from!"<br>"Copy that. You guys are already heroes!"<br>"...And we have lift off!"
*During the game, voices can be heard during certain points, though the voices are obscured by the music. This video lets you hear the voices without the music.
**"Will you look at that! Stars everywhere! Absolutely amazing... Do you copy?"<br>"Copy. But, I can't see them from here. Be sure to take lots of pictures!"
*This game has slightly been updated in Megamix to have more stars appearing in the background when you reach the outer space.
**"And we're coming home! With lots of pictures!"<br>"Copy that!"
*The opening font looks similar to the "Superb" screen.
*In certain parts, large Stars appear all around. When they move really quickly, they leave behind a visible trail behind themselves. In Rhythm Heaven Megamix, instead of a trail, the stars have a ring of smaller stars around them.
*A member of The Clappy Trio and the mothership seen in Airboarder make a cameo appearance in the epilogue.
