Mini Chounin (ミニ町人?, Mini Townsfolk) are miniature people who wear Japanese clothes. They appear in the Rhythm Game Power Calligraphy.

Story

While the player is writing Japanese calligraphy, these fairy tale people come out of nowhere. They're not the steadiest people, and if the writing gets messed up, they'll fall over in disappointment. They bow when the face at the end is shown, as if worshiping it.[1]

Trivia

If the player messes up while playing Power Calligraphy in Rhythm Heaven Fever and Rhythm Heaven Megamix before the Mini Chounin make their appearance, a few pixels of one of the fallen townsfolk can be spotted on the top of the screen, which is easier to see in the latter game. They do not get up until the section where they are supposed to appear in. This makes them partially visible in Right-Hand Remix if the player messes up during the Power Calligraphy section.
