The Tap Trial 2 Monkey (Japanese: SALU) is a purple monkey with white skin, two yellow earrings, black sunglasses and red tie on his torso who appeared in the minigame Tap Trial 2 in Rhythm Tengoku replacing the normal monkeys.

- This kind of monkey can sometimes be mistaken for the Offbeat Monkeys from Monkey Watch, because they have a similar appearance.
- They also appeared in Concert Hall in Samurai Drummer's Band, playing on a saxophone.
- The Tap Trial 2 Monkey appeared in the Tambourine segments in Remix 2, replacing a Rhythm Monkey. He also appeared in the Rhythm Heaven Fever cast, along with the monkey.
