    Physical Appearance

The Bandleader looks very similar to the Frogettes he leads. He is a light blue bipedal frog with a lighter blue belly. He wears dark blue tights with a red stripe. He has long blue arms, a round face, and two tall eyes.

    Story

Frog Hop is one of the only games to not have a letter recieved upon perfecting the game in Rhythm Heaven, although we still know a bit about the band leader. The Bandleader can sing, and knows how to play the saxophone. In the Rhythm Item for Frog Hop in Rhythm Heaven Megamix, a microphone, it says that dancing, singing, and playing instruments is how the frog family makes its money. In Jumpin' Jazz's rhythm item, a saxophone, it implies that the Bandleader dropped his sax in a pond.

The most important detail about him, however, is that he is actually introduces the player to Rhythm Heaven, meaning he is the first character the player will meet in a playthrough upon creating a save file. He tells the player about flicking, and also congratulates them for beating Remix 6 much later in the game.

    Purpose

Besides greeting the player at the beginning of Rhythm Heaven, the Bandleader's vocals are a nice touch to Frog Hop. He sings the song Young Love Rock'n'Roll and adds a nice sense of rhythm to the song to assist the player. He also plays the saxophone in Jumpin' Jazz to the vocals of the song.
