The Wandering Samurai (Samurai Steve in European version) is the very second character to appear in the Rhythm Heaven series. Not only that, but he is the most recurring character in the Rhythm Heaven franchise, having appeared in all two games and one endless in the series.

Rhythm Tengoku

The Wandering Samurai first appeared in Rhythm Tengoku in its first rhythm game,Samurai Slice. He very soon later appears in the second remix alongside the four other games in Set 2 other games. Much later, he reappears along with every other game in Remix 6. He then made appearances in the last two remixes, Remix 7 and Remix 8.

Rhythm Heaven

In Rhythm Heaven, our slicing samurai returned, but he didn't get his own rhythm game in any sets of games. Instead, he only appeared in an endless game Samurai Slice. In this one, you must slice the watermelon, fish and demons and give them to poor kids.

Rhythm Heaven Fever

In Rhythm Heaven Fever, the travelling samurai appears in many different games as cameo, however they are usually Easter-eggs. He first appears, as with the other games in the Rhythm Heaven series, in Samurai Slice. This rhythm game takes place right before the forth remix, him appearing again. He gets a sequel minigame in Samurai Slice 2, then gets parts in Remix 8 afterwards, and in the final remix, him appearing in that as well. This proves that he is the most recurring character in the Rhythm Heaven series.
